If you're look for somewhere extraordinary and distinctive to host your event, Manchester has a wealth of unique venues that are sure to 'wow' your attendees. We've rounded up some of the best places to scope out for that 'je ne sais quoi'.
Heaven - Hotel Football
Imagine clinking glasses on a rooftop pitch with panoramic views of Old Trafford and Salford Quays? Hotel Football's 'Heaven', is the only hotel in Manchester with a unique event space that has a 5 aside football pitch with a retractable roof. Situated on the 9th floor, and catering for parties of up to 200 guests, anything is possible in Heaven.

IWM North
Invite your guests to step into the striking, aluminium-clad structure of Manchester's Imperial War Museum North. This multi-award winning venue and iconic landmark houses extraordinary spaces and offers exceptional possibilities for conferences and events. Unique to IWM North is their immersive cinematic experience, projecting film, imagery and sound onto the walls of the conference spaces. These bespoke digital wallpapers can be tailored to fit event themes providing an exceptionally spectacular backdrop.
Host your event in a building brimming with Manchester's rich industrial history. Located on the original terminus of the worlds first inter-city railway is the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI Manchester). There are 5 Listed buildings within this site, 2 of them listed as Grade I, with plenty of rooms, adaptable to meet a variety of room set-ups. Both the Revolution Manchester Gallery and The Power Hall, provide guests with the opportunity to dine amongst some of the worlds oldest exhibits from the world of science and engineering, including the worlds first stored computer.
Looking for something theatrical? Standing at the heart of The Lowry, The Lyric Theatre is a wonderful state of the art location for conferences and large meetings. This vibrant theatre can be used as a standalone space or in conjunction with their other rooms if your event requires the use of multiple breakout spaces. Alternatively you could grab your delegates' attention by holding your event in their glass walled, 4th floor Compass room with its panoramic views of Mediacity and Salford Quays.
Once the home of the Egerton family, Tatton Park is a neo-classical mansion which still exhibits the taste and opulence the family displayed for over two centuries. As you can imagine, this huge mansion, complete with 50 acres of landscape gardens, provides endless possibilities for unique events. You can even host your event in the Tenants' Hall, which was previously Lord Egerton’s private museum.
Chetham's Library and College House
Welcome your guests to the oldest public library in the English-speaking world. Chetham’s Library has been in continuous use as a free public library for over 350 years. It is housed in a beautiful sandstone building dating from 1421 which was built to accommodate the priests of Manchester’s Collegiate Church. The Baronial Hall is one of the best preserved examples of a 15th century medieval hall and there are a range of smaller rooms in the medieval building, equally impressive for smaller events, breakout sessions or intimate private dining.
With panoramic views overlooking the UK's longest and widest indoor snow slope, Chill Factore ranks (quite literally) high up as one of the most inspiring event venues and visitor attractions in the Northwest. With fully equipped conference rooms, exhibition space and function rooms alongside Alpine themed bars and stylish restaurants, Chill Factore simply has it all. It would be rude not to enjoy a bit of leisure time on the slopes too while you're there too!
If you're looking to kick off your event somewhere truly inspirational and steeped in history, Manchester United's stadium should be top of your list. The Theatre of Dreams is a completely unique venue. With suites and rooms overlooking the historic pitch and the ability to tailor your package to include added extras like the Museum and Stadium Tour, you can rest assured your event will have the lasting effect it deserves.
Ever enjoyed private dining inside a bank vault? Well at Jamie's Italian you can do just that. Situated on King Street within a grand old bank building, the structure and orginal features remain the same, so much so that even the orginal bank vault still resides within the building. The Vault makes a perfect venue for an intimate and decidant meeting.
