Can you tell us about your role within Manchester Convention Bureau?
I joined MCB in December 2021 as Business Visits and Events Executive. My job is to source accommodation and venues for conferences and events across the Greater Manchester region. Since starting, I have been dealing with several clients to help them find the best feasible options for their events and look forward to working with many more.
What do you love about Manchester?
What is not to love? Since I moved to Manchester nine years ago, I have always felt really welcomed and at home. The vibrancy of the city, the music scene, the theatres, the vast range of restaurants especially as I’m a real foodie, there is always something going on. I also love the proximity to nature, with the stunning Peak District and Lake District on our doorstep, perfect for a day out.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Do not ever forget that a kind word and a smile are free, and can make a significant difference, so stay positive and keep smiling. Oh, and to listen and observe before speaking.
What is the one thing you could not live without?
I can’t pick just one – it would be my friends, my family, my books, my garden, my trips.
What would you name the autobiography of your life?
“Good vibes, good life”. I have been lucky enough to have met many strong and confident people during my life, and I passionately believe positive energy is contagious.
Tell us something we don’t know about you…
I love an adventure which has driven me to travel and visit more than 60 countries. On my travel I have had many experiences including diving with sharks, jumping from the Auckland Sky Tower, hiking to the top of the Machu Picchu and of course, trying the most incredible delicacies around the world including Thai Ants, sold to me as chocolate bites!
