Manchester Convention Bureau is delighted to announce they are back at International Confex this March along with seven of their key venue partners.

International Confex is the UK’s leading event for organisers of both national and international events. Taking place 1-2 March 2017 at Olympia, London it provides the largest buying forum for the events industry with venues, destinations, suppliers and buyers networking and doing business.

The Manchester stand, comprising Alderley Park Conference Centre, Friends’ Meeting House, King’s House Conference Centre, Manchester United Football Club, Manchester Convention Bureau, The Principal Manchester, The Stoller Hall and Chetham’s, and The University of Manchester, will be showcasing the very best of Manchester and what it has to offer organisations looking for the location of their next event.

Manchester Convention Bureau will be promoting, amongst other things, the launch of their new website. The site is a one stop shop for conference organisers and delegates looking to learn more about Manchester’s offering and the convention bureau’s free services.

Manchester Convention Bureau is part of Marketing Manchester, the agency charged with promoting Manchester on a national and international stage and the region’s destination marketing organisation. The bureau works to attract conferences and events to Greater Manchester, in addition to providing a range of complimentary services for conference organisers and delegates.

Nick Brooks-Sykes, Director of Tourism at Marketing Manchester said “Manchester is thrilled to be returning to International Confex, hot off the heels of one of our best years yet for international conferences and events.

“Thanks to the profile Manchester gained at 2016’s momentous EuroScience Open Forum, the city’s now in a better position than ever to attract global science conferences. Life sciences in particular are remaining strong, with both the Diabetes UK Professional Conference and Informatics for Health 2017 on the horizon.

“In December, Greater Manchester’s fantastic heritage of Children’s entertainment will be celebrated as we welcome the 8th Children’s Global Media Summit to MediaCityUK. And of course we’ll also be welcoming the annual Conservative Party Conference back to Manchester in October.”

“Manchester is where great minds meet, and 2017 is the year that we ramp up getting this message across to international audiences. Our high profile upcoming events, plus new upcoming routes to the US with Virgin Atlantic, and an improved ‘Meet in Manchester’ website to reveal, mean we’ve got plenty to keep us busy at International Confex this year.”

Manchester Convention Bureau and partners can be found at International Confex on Stand E23C.
