The first Greater Manchester Tourism Conference, held in September 2016 proved to be one of the highlights of the year for Marketing Manchester members and stakeholders and was rated very highly by delegates.  This year’s event also promises to be one of the leading tourism events of the year and is a must for your diary. We promise a highly informative, participative and business focused day for all members of the tourism industry in Greater Manchester and the North.

This year’s event will take place on Wednesday 11 October in the Pavilion at Emirates Old Trafford.

The stimulating programme will include a collection of thought-provoking talks, interviews and presentations from high-profile speakers, looking at insights and the future direction of the sector with relevance for all businesses involved in the visitor economy.

The day will be hosted by Nick Brooks-Sykes, Director of Tourism for Marketing Manchester and one of the first confirmed speakers for the event is Steve Ridgway CBE, the recently appointed Chair of Visit Britain.

The format for the day is as follows:

  • Arrival from 9am with a full day’s programme followed by a networking drinks reception at 4.30pm.
  • An engaging format of presentations, film, interviews, Q&A and panel sessions.
  • Networking opportunities throughout the day including a drinks reception to end the day.
