Manchester Central fought off competition from a number of UK venues to be crowned ‘Best City Centre Venue Space’ at the hotly contested National Venue Awards. It was a double success for the venue, who also received silver for ‘Best Event Venue over 1000 attendees’.

In their inaugural year, the National Venue Awards give a badge of excellence for venues from anywhere in the UK and are judged by a panel of key influencers from within the industry.
Shaun Hinds, CEO at Manchester Central, said : “We’re delighted to have received this award and to be recognised as a leading venue at the heart of the city.

Our location is what makes us truly unique as an international convention centre, but we’re also right on the doorstep of Manchester’s business community and provide accessible spaces for meetings of all shapes and sizes.

Whilst people are naturally drawn to our historic central hall we have spaces to suit a whole range of different client requirements. It was great to hear how impressed the judges were by the versatlity of our venue and our commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences”.

Rory Ross Russell, Co-Founder of the National Venue Awards, said:

“We have been delighted by the venue industry’s enthusiasm and response to the first National Venue Awards. Awards are a great benchmarking tool for venues and the ceremony was a fantastic showcase of all the many examples of award-winning innovation and creativity that occur in this fast-paced and versatile industry.”
