Last week Marketing Manchester’s Convention Bureau took part in a trade mission to the West Coast of the United States. Led by MeetEngland, the Manchester Convention Bureau and other English DMOs including Birmingham and West Midlands Convention Bureau, London Convention Bureau, Liverpool Convention Bureau and Meet Bristol and Bath.

The trade mission commenced in Los Angeles and Orange County with evening events joined by corporate, incentive and association buyers. The roadshow then moved on to San Francisco for sales calls followed by a final evening event.

Manchester’s presentations focussed on the city region’s key sector alignments with the West Coast US; notably the digital, tech and creative industries, along with strong incentive and event programme ideas to inspire future bookings.

In total, the team engaged with over 40 business event agencies, corporate and event planners and international associations.
