Cvent has presented its annual list of the year's top EMEA destinations for meeting planners. Cvent evaluated over 2,500 cities, ranking them based on meeting and event booking activity in the Cvent Supplier Network, as well as the number of meeting and event venues in the area.

Having moved up two places since last year, Manchester was placed at number 21 in Cvent's top 25 meeting destinations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

With an impressive range of large exhibition, convention, and event venues, top-quality affordable hotels, and cosmopolitan restaurants, Manchester has so much to offer every kind of meeting or event.

The city is served by Manchester International Airport with direct daily flights to the United States and over 200 domestic and international destinations. The city's former principal railway station, Manchester Central, can host intimate corporate functions, large-scale conferences, or exhibitions. The venue includes the 804-seat Exchange Auditorium; the 1,800 square metre conference center or 1,200-capacity Exchange Hall; the 10,000 square-metre column-free and divisible Central Hall; and several smaller conference and meeting rooms.

There are also over 8,500 high-quality yet affordable hotels in central Manchester and over 350 meeting and hospitality venues, many of which are located in historic buildings that reflect this city's great commercial heritage.
