Manchester has been selected to host TEAMS Europe, the leading business development conference for the global sports industry, in 2027. 

Taking place on 23 – 25 March 2027 at the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club, the event will bring three-days of one-to-one appointments between suppliers and hosted buyers from across the sports sector. 

Anchored at the Etihad Campus - one of Manchester’s most iconic sporting destinations - delegates will have the opportunity to stay at The Medlock, the soon-to-open hotel forming part of the new Entertainment District, which also incorporates the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live, the UK’s largest music venue. 

Manchester’s global reputation for sport, culture, and international connectivity helped secure the bid by Marketing Manchester. The city is home to two worldfamous football clubs, a thriving cultural scene, and direct international access via Manchester Airport. 

Hosted by Northstar Meetings Group, TEAMS Europe is the organisation’s flagship sports event. It brings together international sports federations, professional and semiprofessional leagues, massparticipation event organisers, youth sports representatives, and the rapidly expanding esports sector. The conference also convenes leaders shaping the future of sports tourism, including venues, hotels, and industry suppliers seeking to grow their presence in the market.
