The Stanneylands, Wilmslow, Cheshire, re-opened on the 18th April following a £1.7m refurbishment which has transformed the venue into a new food and drink destination for the local community and county.

In Dec 2015, the property was purchased for £4.15m and following a closure of four months from January 2017 co -owners Mark Boler and Gary Corbett vision of restoring this classic Cheshire institution to its former glory has now been realised with the doors once again re –opened and welcoming the local neighbourhood and guests once more

The new Stanneylands features two new dining venues, The Grill Room and the Tap & Pantry, three new and enhanced event suites: The State Room, The Chambers and The Attic and 52 individually designed guest rooms. To compliment the country house feel, and to take advantage of the rolling gardens, there are also three new terraces perfect for al-fresco dining and drinking overlooking the newly landscaped woodland and lake.

“This is a huge milestone for The Mere Collection and represents a strategic leap forward for us as a business as we continue to grow the brand across the county.  We have every confidence that the team at The Stanneylands will deliver the first class hospitality and delightful touches to make every guest experience a memorable one”, comments The Mere Collection co -owner Mark Boler.

“We worked with our architects and designers DV8 Designs in Warrington to create a venue that delivers unforgettable moments whether you are dining with us, celebrating or generally just socialising, we wanted The Stanneylands to be the venue of choice for celebrations in the county and we believe we have achieved this with our transformation and team training”.

The Mere Collection co-owner, Gary Corbett, said “The strategic acquisition of The Stanneylands supports our ambition to grow the operation of The Mere brand across the county.  Following our repositioning from a hotel into a food and drink destination, we are confident that this will delight and excite our existing guests, along with attracting new customers”.
