The 30th anniversary of the MOBO Awards will come to Manchester for the first time in March 2026, following a successful bid by Marketing Manchester.

Working closely with event organisers and city centre partners, such as Manchester City Council and the Manchester Accommodation BID, the Marketing Manchester team provided crucial support with the initial bid, including a comprehensive accommodation provision strategy and facilitating introductions to key local stakeholders. The team's expertise in securing major business and leisure events was vital in showcasing Manchester's capacity to host a world-class ceremony of this scale.

The MOBO Awards' arrival in Manchester on Thursday 26 March 2026, is a major booking for the city's events calendar, reinforcing its reputation as a leading destination for major cultural and business events. The ceremony is expected to attract thousands of visitors, providing a major boost to the local economy, including hotels, venues, and hospitality businesses.
